Jazz is a very broad term to begin with, so as I was thinking through the structure of this edition of The JazzDepot I realized that this series could easily turn into a complicated production, then I thought about what Nina Simone once said ... "You can use up everything you've got trying to give people what they want." After that I knew exactly what I needed to do. Everyone who listens to Jazz has their own special artist or group they believe to be the best, I know because I once thought that way, but then I learned to listen to Jazz as an art form and not a recording project, and that's when I discovered just how rich a music heritage Jazz really was. So, this addition of The JazzDepot will be dedicated to The Elders of Jazz, not the style nor the era, but the Artful Swag of the Musicianship and the blending of the many to create the one sound that is distinctively JAZZ in all its wonderful forms. Featured Artist for this edition of The JazzDepot are Cannonball and Nat Adderley, Miles Davis, Wes Montgomery and The Heath Brothers.
