THE IDEA & CONCEPT PHASE

In the world of Program Production, it has been said that “Just Because We Think We Have A Great Program Idea Doesn’t Mean Everyone Else Will Think The Same.” Those are very wise words to remember during the first stage of your program creation.
Everything from the title of your program, the subject matter and topics, to the number of segments it contains, and the overall length of the entire show matters.
During your Idea and Concept Phase is where you frame your thoughts into a general idea for the program, and identify you audience. It is also the time to be brutally honest about what works and what doesn’t work. Be very careful to stay on point, not allowing flipped ideas to sidetrack your efforts to produce a quality show.

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT PHASE

Once your ideas and concept for the program are framed coherently, it’s time to focus on the best way to present your content. This is the development phase where you determine how to fit your content into the structure of the program.
Here is where you apply the art of segmentation, dividing your program into presentable sections to make up the whole of the show, and keep your audience interested and engaged.
This is also where I advise you against following the beaten path and focus on creating the best options for creating your own identity.
